Wednesday Youth Night (WYN) Returns September 12th

Hello, everyone! It’s time again for Wednesday Youth Night (WYN) at First Presbyterian of Tolono. Our opening night for WYN this fall is Wednesday, September 12. Supper starts at 5:30 (registration will begin at 5:20 that night), followed by fun activities and ending at 8:00 p.m. The cost for the first child per family is $28 and $24 for each additional child--waivers and tuition help is available if needed, so please don't hesitate to ask. We know that times are tight for everyone and would hate for your child to miss out if money is an issue. This fall, the elementary students will be learning about the Creation story in Genesis, Esther, Daniel and the lions, and Jesus’ birth. The Jr. High students will be participating in their own activities with leaders Susie Fisher and Bonnie Woolard. In November, we will also be putting together our annual “shoebox” project for Operation Christmas Child. You can help us out by stocking up now on shoebox “fillers” like crayons, markers, pencils, pens, etc. while they are on sale.

If your child can't make it Sep. 12, but wants to be part of WYN again this semester, you can always register and pay at the next meeting or whenever he or she is able to attend. We will meet every Wednesday night after that until Nov. 14. The annual WYN Cookout is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 24—watch for more details as we get closer to that date.

If, for some reason (such as bad weather), we have to cancel a WYN meeting, we will contact you if possible via phone and/or email, and will also post the cancellation to our church website, http://www.tolono presbyterian.org. In general, if Unit 7 schools are closed for weather, WYN will also be cancelled.

We can always use assistance with lessons, and we are also looking for someone to coordinate getting people signed up to bring desserts. If you could call/email people to bring desserts for WYN or could do reminder calls/emails on the Sunday or Monday before WYN each week, we want you! C.E. Building at Tolono Presbyterian Church at 104 W. Vine in Tolono.

When

Each Wed. night starting September 14, 2011 and ending November 16, 2011 with a cookout open to families.

5:30 – supper to 8:00 dismissal & pick up, (pre-school class finishes early at 7 p.m.)

Register your children at the C.E. Building on September 14 or the first Wed. they can attend.

COST - $28 for the first child and $24 for each additional child, $20 for a preschool child. Scholarships are available. The fee is to cover the cost of food.
