WYN Returns!

Dear WYN Families,

It’s that time again. Wednesday Youth Night returns for its Spring Semester of awesomeness! Once again the leadership team of Jeannette Hulick, Linda Smith, Susie Fisher and Bonnie Woolard has planned a season of bible-themed lessons that also include art projects, games, science, cooking, and other creative type-things.

At a planning meeting held during the last week of January, several other leaders stepped forward as well- to teach lessons, help as table parents, ride herd as needed, and to be generally cheerful and energetic. Hoo-ray for all our leaders and volunteers! (Like Jennifer and Dawn and Vicki and anyone I’m missing!)

Carol Huizenga will be coordinating the meal preparations. (Thanks to Delores Lucas who headed up WYN meals for many years!) Pastor Kerry is supposed to help in the kitchen, but will probably spend most of the time munching on potato chips and chocolate chip cookies. Linda Smith will actually be helpful- as will Jeri Thomas, Autumne Fisher and rest of usual kitchen suspects..

The fun begins Wednesday 2/15 at 5:30pm in the CE Building…

If, for some reason, we have to cancel a WYN meeting, we will contact you if possible via phone and/or email, and will also post the cancellation to our church website, http://www.tolonopresbyterian.org/ . In general, if Unit 7 schools are closed for weather, WYN will also be cancelled.

We can always use assistance with lessons, and we are also looking for someone to coordinate getting people signed up to bring desserts. If you could call/email people to bring desserts for WYN or could do reminder calls/emails on the Sunday or Monday before WYN each week, we want you! Please let me, Bonnie Woolard, or Susie Fisher know if you are interested in helping in any way. Thanks so much! We are looking forward to another exciting semester at First PC!

All young people ages pre-school and K-8th grade are welcome

Activities for Pre-School, grades K — 5 and 6—8 —Jr. High separate program

Where

C.E. Building at Tolono Presbyterian Church at 104 W. Vine in Tolono.

When

Each Wed. night starting September 14, 2011 and ending November 16, 2011 with a cookout open to families.

5:30 – supper to 8:00 dismissal & pick up, (pre-school class finishes early at 7 p.m.)

Register your children at the C.E. Building on September 14 or the first Wed. they can attend.

COST - $28 for the first child and $24 for each additional child, $20 for a preschool child. Scholarships are available. The fee is to cover the cost of food.
